JOHN HOUSTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This Scholarship was established in 1993 in memory of the President of the WSU who was tragically killed in a car crash that year. It recognises both outstanding academic diligence and contribution to student cultural and sporting life. It is for an amount of $2500.

This award was established in 2007 to encourage and celebrate the efforts, achievements and contributions of students who are sole parents or caregivers. Two awards of $1000 each are made.

FIRST IN FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
Closes 30th of May
This is for students who are enrolled full-time in their final year of study towards an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato and are the first family member of their immediate family to attend a New Zealand University. The scholarship will have a value of up to $2,000.
