Kia ora, halo olgeta!

My name is Rosalie Norton. I am currently in my second year of completely a BA in Social Policy and Māori and Indigenous studies, minoring in Pacific and Indigenous studies and Music. Outside of uni life I am on a number of boards and Youth Advisory Groups across the motu, such as being on the YAGs for Inspiring Stories and the Mental Health Foundation, and as well a Season 4 member of The Hive, board member of Seed Waikato (6 years), and currently a YWCA Y25 2024 cohort member. Getting to be your WSU Pacific Director for the second half of the boards term, I learnt so much about the university, student advisory in this space and as well the wide areas of lacked support our taiohi are experiencing. I would love to take all of my external experience as well as my deepened understanding of how WSU works, and be a part of positive and substantial change that makes our campus a more enjoyable, supported and safer place to be for all students.
