WHAT WE DO

With an elected board of 12 students, including an elected President on the University Council, a dedicated Vice-President Māori, and a new Tauranga and Pacific director, to run the WSU it is fair to say that ensuring students have a voice is in our DNA. The thing that sets the WSU apart from other parts of the University is that we are a part of your student body.

While this has its challenges it means that we can help to deliver on the things that are important to you. In recent times this has included consultation around your Student Services Levy, Moodle, the class rep system and training, enrolment and graduation. If it is important to students then we will work to ensure you have a voice in the conversation.

We are also working hard to make things easier for our class, faculty, board, and academic reps with new training and resources. If you have any questions or want to talk, email our student voice advocates at voice@wsu.org.nz

HELP US OUT

Ironically, listening is the most important part of the Student Voice service. That is why we put out surveys to students to help us figure out what is important to you, what you need us to speak up on, and what we could all do better.
