In my role as a past member of the Solomon Islands Student’s Waikato Association Executive and and a current student, I am leaderful and visionary in serving our students. I engage in both educational and communal learning and activities that involve our students to write a programme that will Pilot a Solomon Islands Pijin English at the university that will begin in October. The project contributes to growing Solomon Islands Students as leaders. The pilot project does fulfil objectives 1-7 of the Waikato Pacific Strategic Plan. The pilot project has secured funding at the university. The initiative and the vision we have and dream together will grow to empower students to extend posiible opportunities promoting Pacific Research at the university. with 35 years of teaching experience across the different educational sectors, I am immune to supporting students and activities that will support them with their needs. To add, I am empathetic and compassionate Student, Mother, Aunty, Nina and Friend to advocate for students with students that may impede their livelihood while studying. On this note, I have a balance understanding of the factors that impact students, and know that working alongside various organisations both internally and externally at the university is critical to adressing these factors on the parameters of the WSU and the University Governance.
